7.2 The legendary Top Las Vegas Buffets

It seems everyone has their list of favorite Las Vegas buffets ...and we are no exception. Buffets are one of the best values in Las Vegas! Each has several food stations serving different types of food from around the world. Over the years, we have been to just about all of them.

Although it can vary a little, breakfast is normally served from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m., lunch 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and dinner 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. (Brunch: 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ...usually on weekends.) We are listing the prices, but they change frequently. (Sometimes the weekend price is higher than Sunday through Thursday.) Children get special discount prices ...under 4 years old are generally free.

Assuming that you are staying on or near the Strip or downtown, here is a buffet list by area. (Our favorites? We particularly recommend the mid-strip Planet Hollywood (Spice Market Buffet), Paris (Le Village Buffet), and Bellagio buffets. And we were pleasantly surprised by Corner Market Buffet at TI on our last trip.) Worst Las Vegas buffets? Circus-Circus and Excalibur.

Hint: Get to the buffet dining room early.

First you will beat the crowds and won't have to stand in line ...or at least not as long as you would if you went at peak time. And secondly, if you get there around 10 a.m., you will pay breakfast prices for lunch. And if you arrive around 3 p.m., you will get dinner for lunch prices.

Situated in The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, the Wicked Spoon is a sleek, high-end buffet offering a diverse selection of refined dishes. The buffet is known to serve up a tasty balance of familiar staples like prime rib with unusual options like bone marrow. Open for brunch, dinner, and express takeout, the Wicked Spoon has something for everyone anytime of the day. When you enter the buffet, you’ll be met with modern décor and an upscale feel. When they’re ready to dig in, diners can find multiple ethnic offerings, a carving station, and even an omelet bar with lox, goat cheese, and avocado.

Start your meal off with bottomless beverages. Bottomless beverage packages include options like champagne, mimosas, Bloody Mary’s, white and red wine, and PBR draft. Unlike other buffets that allow you to fill your plate with a selection of dishes, Wicked Spoon has most dishes already pre-plated, allowing you to save time and prevent you from getting a large helping of something that you may not really like. The restaurant is divided into different sections, starting with the salad area. In addition to all of your usual salad favorites, you’ll find unique items like Italian panzeanella bread salad, pita slices, chickpea salad, and a selection of pungent cheeses.

Next, make your way to the seafood station where you’ll find a variety of shellfish, in addition to mini baskets of fish and chips and grilled salmon. The fish is breaded with intense flavor and served with a side of remoulade or tartar sauce. Next, the carving station is where you’ll find delicious meats like pork and prime rib, as well as more unique items like lamb and roasted bone marrow. With your meat, try some delicious side dishes like truffled scalloped potatoes or veggies. End your meal with a trip to the dessert bar where you’ll find a colorful variety of treats.

Le Village Buffet at Paris Las Vegas takes buffet dining to a whole new level.
